Dr. Joshua Madden

Program Director for the Master of Sacred Scripture
Dr. Joshua Madden is the Theology Program Director and Program Director for the Master of Sacred Scripture at Holy Apostles College & Seminary, and holds the position as Lector in Catholic Theology at Blackfriars Studium in Oxford, the only Catholic seminary in the United Kingdom devoted to educating members of religious orders. Dr. Madden completed his doctorate at Ave Maria University in Florida, where he received a PhD in Biblical Theology, and completed a License in Sacred Theology—focused in Marriage & Family Studies—at the International Theological Institute in Austria.
His areas of specialization and interest include Biblical Thomism and Thomas Aquinas, Biblical Theology, Marriage, Christology, the dialectic of Ancient and Modern philosophy, and Catholic Social Teaching. Dr. Madden is an ordinary member of the Academy of Catholic Theology, and his research has been published in such venues as Nova & Vetera, Journal of Theological Interpretation, The New Ressourcement, and many others. Dr Madden entered into full communion with the Catholic Church in 2008, was married in 2011, and is a father to six children.
