Travel
If you are flying from out of state, the closest airport to Holy Apostles is Bradley International Airport (Hartford/Springfield) located in Windsor Locks, CT. It is about 40 minutes from campus.
The southern and central parts of Connecticut are well populated. You should have no issue using Ubers to get around from the airport, your hotel, campus, or the gala. If you plan to visit a rural part of the state on your trip, you may consider renting a car.
Alternatively, you may consider flying into LaGuardia Airport in NYC and using public transportation to get to Connecticut or campus:
- Take Q70 bus from LGA to Roosevelt Ave/74th St subway station (free public bus which runs every 5-8 minutes from the airport itself on the bottom level by the baggage claims)
- Take M train to 42nd/Bryant park subway station
- Switch to 7 train for one stop to Grand Central station (GCT)
- Take the Metro-North line from Grand Central station (GCT) to New Haven Union station (NHV Union).
- Take the CT Rail Hartford line to Meriden or Berlin, and take an Uber to Cromwell
- (alternatively, skip step 5 and take an Uber directly from NHV Union station to Cromwell)
