Rev. Dr. Yosyp Veresh

Rev. Dr. Yosyp Veresh is a Byzantine Catholic priest of the Greek-Catholic Eparchy of Mukachevo (Ukraine). He studied philosophy and theology in Ukraine, Austria, Oxford (England) and Krakow (Poland) where he completed his doctorate in 2010 at the Pontifical University of John Paul II. Since 2005 he has taught theology at the International Theological Institute (ITI) in Gaming/Trumau, (Austria) where, from 2010 to 2015, he was Professor of Patrology and Eastern Christian Studies and Director of the Centre of Eastern Christian Studies. Between 2015 and 2020 Fr. Veresh served as Academic and Spiritual Director of the Language and Catechetical Institute Mission Outreach Program in Gaming (Austria). From 2015 to 2017 he was Visiting Lecturer at the Theology and Philosophy Faculty of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv (Ukraine), teaching interdisciplinary courses for Licentiate and Doctoral Programs. Between 2017 and 2021 he acted as Visiting Assistant Professor of Theology for the Franciscan University of Steubenville (Austrian Program in Gaming), teaching dogmatic and moral theology. At the present time Fr. Yosyp is exercising pastoral ministry, holding retreats and serves as Director of Pastoral Center of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Mukachevo in Ukraine.
