Dr. Nathan Schmiedicke joined the online faculty of Holy Apostles College in Fall of 2023. He has been visiting professor of exegesis at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary (Nebraska) since 2013, where he teaches according to the medieval ratio studiorum and the mind of St. Thomas Aquinas. He completed his doctoral work at Marquette University in 2007 with an emphasis on modern narrative studies of the Bible, their consonance with and development of unified, spiritual, patristic readings of Sacred Scripture, especially that exemplified by the hermeneutical theory and practice of St. Augustine. He has taught at a number of institutions of higher learning including St. Charles Borromeo Seminary (Philadelphia), Villanova University (PA), and the University of Mary (North Dakota). He and his wife live in Greenville, MI where they have eight children and a hundred acre farm to keep them busy.
