Dr. John P. Joy teaches theology and serves as Dean of Faculty at St. Ambrose Academy in Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to this, he served as Senior Theologian to the Bishop and Director of Evangelization and Catechesis for the Diocese of Madison. He studied theology at Ave Maria College, Michigan (B.Phil.), the International Theological Institute, Austria (S.T.M., S.T.L.), and the University of Fribourg, Switzerland (S.T.D.), where he specialized in dogmatic theology. He is the author of two books: On the Ordinary and Extraordinary Magisterium from Joseph Kleutgen to the Second Vatican Council (Muenster: Aschendorff, 2017) and Disputed Questions on Papal Infallibility (Lincoln: Os Justi, 2022), as well as various articles appearing in Nova et Vetera, Seminary Journal, New Blackfriars, and Antiphon.
