Mr. Daniel P. Petruccio

Adjunct Professor of Theology

I am presently the Assistant Principal of Guidance at Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York.  I also teach a course entitled Christian Humanism which is the required junior religion course.  I also coach the Varsity Tennis Team.


I served as the Mayor of the Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park for 12 years.


I work at St. John’s University as an Adjunct Professor of Theology and I presently teach a course entitled: Moral Theology in the Marketplace.


For the last four years I have taught two online Philosophy courses at Holy Apostles College and Seminary: Introduction to Ancient Philosophy and Ethics.  Both courses are offered to High School students.  


I am happily married to my wife Roseann for 35 wonderful years, and we have three adult daughters: Elyse, Caitlin and Lianna.  My dog is named after my favorite author, Flannery O’Connor.


I recently authored a book entitled, Living the Dream: Faith Journey Down a Crooked Road.
