Denise J. Hunnell, MD
Dr. Hunnell is a residency-trained family physician who practiced medicine in a wide variety of settings as she followed her husband’s United States Air Force 30-year career. Since retiring from clinical practice, she has transitioned to writing and teaching about Catholic health care ethics, family issues, and health care policies. She served as a board member for the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars. She has been teaching Anatomy & Physiology to both undergraduate and graduate students since 2010.
She and her husband have four grown children as well as eight grandchildren (so far). They settled in Northern Virginia where they enjoy the dynamic spiritual life of the Diocese of Arlington. They spend their days hiking, gardening, and participating in the numerous fine arts experiences the area has to offer.
