Angelicum Academy Partnership Overview

From 9th Grade to Accredited BA degrees with Double Majors in Just 5 Years

Holy Apostles College & Seminary and the Angelicum Academy have designed a path for qualified homeschool students to earn their Associate of Arts degrees at the completion of 12th grade. The Bachelor’s degree can be earned one year later.

The Associate of Arts degree requires a minimum of 60 credits. Within the partnership, 45 credits may transfer from the Angelicum Academy and 15 credits are earned directly from Holy Apostles 100% online.

Students begin the four-year Great Books Program in 9th grade (minimum age 14, and up) at the Angelicum Academy. Of the 48 credits earned in the four-year Great Books program, 45 credits may be transferred to Holy Apostles towards an Associate of Arts degree. Additionally, included in the tuition paid to the Angelicum Academy, 11th and 12th grade students (with a minimum 2.5 GPA) may enroll in 5 Holy Apostles courses (15 credits) online. Combined, this allows students within the partnership to earn their Associate of Arts degree by the completion of 12th grade. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B) for the courses taken directly at Holy Apostles.

In addition, 11th and 12th grade Angelicum Academy students may also take four online Angelicum Theology courses at 3 credits each. The 48 credits earned in the Great Books Program and the 12 credits earned from the online Theology courses can be transferred to Holy Apostles towards a Bachelor of Arts degree. Including the 15 credits already earned at Holy Apostles, this brings the total number of college credits earned by the completion of 12th grade to 75 credits!

At the completion of the AA-Track, students may apply to the Bachelor of Arts program at Holy Apostles. With just a minimum of 45 credits remaining to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree (120 credit minimum for the BA degree), this can be completed in as little as one year after graduation from 12th grade from the Angelicum Academy. The student must enroll in 5 courses (15 credits) for three consecutive semesters (Summer, Fall, and Spring). If desired, the student can enroll part-time to complete the Bachelor of Arts degree though it will take more time to graduate.

Q: What is the Cost?

For the AA option –

The AA-Track includes the entire Great Books Program, Theology Online, and five online courses with Holy Apostles College and Seminary – a total of 75 credits.

To complete the Associate of Arts degree (in Liberal Arts or Theology), students need only 45 credits from the Angelicum Academy plus 15 credits from Holy Apostles College and Seminary, but all students are encouraged to complete the 48 Great Books credits and the 12 Theology online credits so that they complete a total of 75 credits at the end of their time in the program.

The price for 60 credits or for up to 75 credits is the same.  It breaks down as follows: $ 3,750 per year (or ten monthly payments of $375) = $15,000 total for up to 75 college credits.
See http://www.angelicum.net/great-books-program/enrollment-form/ for more information.

For the BA option –

Students who complete the AA-Track are encouraged to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree at Holy Apostles in any of the six majors (or double-majors) offered:

  • Theology
  • Philosophy
  • English in the Humanities
  • History in the Social Sciences
  • Liberal Arts*
  • Sacred Art*

* May require more than 120 credits to graduate if included in a double-major.

If students complete 75 credits in the AA-Track, then they are only
45 credits away from the Bachelor of Arts degree. At $375 per credit
hour, the total remaining tuition cost is $16,875 (approximately
$17,250 including all fees).

Total tuition for the joint Angelicum Academy – Holy Apostles
Partnership, for both the Associate of Arts and the Bachelor of Arts
degrees is $32,250 as of Fall 2021. (Tuition and fees are subject to
change.)

Joie has been so blessed to be a student at Holy Apostles. Their partnership with Angelicum Academy made it possible for her to obtain 21 hours of college credit 2019-2020, her senior year in High School, and in December 2021 will probably obtain her Associates Degree in the Liberal Arts. The classes and teachers have challenged her. She is excited to continue online college at Holy Apostles and complete her BA in the Liberal Arts majoring in History of the Social Sciences. As a parent of three children, Joie being my youngest, I am extremely satisfied with the tuition and with the conservative Catholic and extremely superb faculty. I wish I had known about the program years ago.
