Holy Apostles College Scholarship Opportunities

Lawrence W. Drake Jr. Scholarship for the Laity

The Lawrence W. Drake Jr. Scholarship Fund was established by his family in December 1999 to honor his memory. As a lay student at Holy Apostles, Lawrence was dedicated to the study of theology. As a teacher, he sought to bring the light of God's message to others. This scholarship is awarded annually to the best-qualified lay candidate seeking a theological degree at Holy Apostles.

Eligible candidates must:

  • be enrolled in the Bachelor's, Master's, or Post-Master's Certificate Program in Theology at Holy Apostles.

  • possess a 3.0 G.P.A. or better at Holy Apostles

  • demonstrate motivation and aspiration by submitting a one page, double spaced typed essay describing their theological goals and why they are applying for this scholarship.

Tuition Remission for Active Religious Educators

Holy Apostles College offers Tuition Remission to active Religious Educators pursuing coursework on the graduate or undergraduate level or taking continuing education classes on campus at Holy Apostles College. Eligible students must

  • be enrolled in classes that meet on campus
  • provide the Registrar's Office, at the time of registration, with a signed letter from their pastor, principal or other superior attesting to the student's position as an active religious educator.

Eligible students will receive a standard discount of $150.00 for one three credit course.  The discount will apply to a maximum of two (2) courses per semester. This remission cannot be applied to student fees or other related expenses or to students enrolled in the Distance Learning Program. Full-time students will receive this reduced rate on a total of two (2) courses per semester.
